Wednesday, April 15, 2009 - Tax Day

Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, over 5000 patriots gathered for a peaceful demonstration of solidarity in bringing awareness to our nation in distress. This grass roots event was organized by
Lauren O'brien (D), a young mother, who believes upholding the constitutution is still of great importance to the United States of America.
Special Thanks also to Joyce Kaufman a popular South Florida talk show host in South Florida.

Midej - I know a lot of people feel the way you do. Thank you for being civil about it! I have been striving to educate myself and believe me, I was against the speed at which the first bailouts were shoved out the door last year. I wrote my reps, as I am sure many others did. We are taking to the streets because this seems to be the only thing politicians understand. I am PROUD TO BE A TEA PARTY PATRIOT! Thanks to nationindistress for the great pictures! Midej, these people were home, supporting our troops. These people all came out to protest the spending of Trillions to banks,, auto mfgs and other stupid pork barrel items contained in the Bailout Legislation which Obama promised wouldn't be allowed under his administration. The real question is "Where were you" while this was going on?

Where have these people been? Why haven't they been protesting spending while Bush was giving bail out's with no oversight or conditions? Where were the protests when 90 billion of tax payer money just disappeared in Iraq? I just find the timing to be so hypocritical.......
