  • What is the name of the first march they play when they come out of the barraks?

  • Very beautiful. Very, very, very beautiful!

  • Superb! Unbeatable!

  • There's nothing like seeing those smart red tunics, black hats and white belts go by. Brilliant combination, and very pleasing to the eye.

  • All this back when the that tall Grenadier Guards musician was just a Junior Sergeant.

  • Does anyone the title of the last march in the vid? Thanks

  • @PUCCINIMUSICK I totally agree with you about Crags of Tumbledown. Definately one of the best pieces played, and it only really sounds right when played by the Scots Guards. However the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards were present at the 2003 Trooping the Colour when the Queen's Company of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards trooped their colour.

  • Yes, it is not the 2003 Troop, because at the time the Band of the Grenadier Guards paraded onto Horse Guards Parade to the march UNTER DEN LINDEN, and that's not the final march played, so well done by discovering this is 2001.

  • The Pipes and Drums of SG were present on the 2003 Troop and that was graced by the presence of the Grenadiers, thus...

  • Anybody know the name of the March the Grenadier Guards Band are playing onto Horse Guards Parade?

  • and the arrangement of "CRAGS OF TUMBLEDOWN" for Pipes, Drums and Band (by D.E.Price) is simply fantastic, the best military music ever!

  • Confirm! 2001, you can detect from the presence of several characters who are not in the Guards for long time now, namely the adjutants of the SG (R.Whyte) and IG (R.Bullock-Websters), and the DOM of the SG Bands, Lt.Col D.E.Price. Then the P&Ds of the SG have not been present to a GG Troop since 2001 so the year is confirmed!
