Salt, you can't be serious that USU is an unforgetable college experince, can you?? I go here and wake up thinking how retarded I must be. In one semester I went on average 1.25 times per class that and still got a 3.0 GPA. I guess if you want to get accepted, 97.8% are, and not have to actually be challenged, than yes it is a great glorified junior college, but I wouldn't dub USU anything greater than that.

@Journeyon71 I guess it depends on your attitude. My wife went to BYU, SUU, and USU and her impression is that USU's academics were superior. I believe you can float by and do decent at any university with a little intelligence and other factors in your favor -- especially if you choose a major that is easy for you given your abilities. It sounds like you may be the type, however, who would not be satisfied anywhere.

@Journeyon71 With that said, my experience at USU has been absolutely phenomenal. USU has outstanding programs that are very challenging and rewarding for those who want to pursue them and make the most of their college years. Take a look at USU's honors program, undergraduate research opportunities, Koch Scholars, Huntsman Scholars, Writing Fellows program, Study Abroad, Ambassadors, etc., and you'll begin to realize there are a lot of opportunities out there.

@Journeyon71 From observations I have made, an attitude is very powerful in shaping your future. It seems like my friends and acquaintances who have had the most college success and who have gone on to exceptional careers share this characteristic; they seem to look at challenges as opportunities, and they take advantage of more opportunities than do those who tend to complain. Good luck on finding something that works for you.

My friend is in his first year at USU and we've heard all about how loud and how crazy USU basketball games are, so he went to one. Said it was one of the worst times of his life. Said USU fans are some of the most classless fans he's ever been apart of and he won't go to another one of their games. Pretty sad.

@panicsugarcane Ha ha. Your comment reeks of a BYU fan. ha ha ha. Get out of Utah and you'll see "classless." You'll also realize that people think Utahns are weird for comments like that. I'll tell you one thing -- I've been to basketball games in every arena in Utah. The Marriott Center was definitely the most reverent atmosphere I've seen at a game. One word. Boring.
