Let's not sell Zevon short. Ask Don or Phil Everly, Jackson Browne, Don Henley, Waddy Wachtel, Glenn Frey, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan. All are great, and all recorded with Warren. They also loved his music. All these stars can't be wrong. Warren was truly a great song writer, composer, and musician. He will be missed.

Thanks for putting this up, Jiggs. I never got to see the Offender and the Pretender together live, so this was a real joy to come across. It's as good as anything he ever did, isn't it.

English is my second language, so I sometimes have trouble getting the meanings of Warren's lyrics. But, for me at least, he's one of the very few artists (another one would be Billy Joel for me) that is able to paint an emotional picture with his words and lyrics. I get him, even if I don't get him. He just touches me on a very ... spiritual, emotional level. I would so have loved to hear him play live at least once, but I only discovered him after his death. I miss him, though.
