@kefreak7172 probably because KE offers more destinations.

it said that cellphone or video camera are prohibited but how they captured this video while taken off....

Hmm - I would think the Chinese speakers who don't know English wouldn't be pleased..
Asiana did the K+E w/ Chinese subtitles
Anyhow the ideal scenario is for the same safety information to run three times, with each language having a sub and a dub.

no just korean with english subs
-
Hmm - I would have thought it would be dub Korean + English with Traditional Chinese subtitles - Was there a Traditional Chinese dub at a later point?

I flew from Hong Kong to Incheon

What route did you fly? It seems it it was spoken Korean/English sub only
KE isn't always cheaper than CX. KE's price in South Korea is exactly like the price of CX in HK. However, South Koreans prefer traveling in Korean Air instead of Asiana. So I don't think "people just look at their price"......

Talking about CX, their cutting-cost culture slowly decrease my confidence in traveling with them. Their safety standard in the past years was never at SQ or actually KE (IMO)'s standard. All those news I read about parts falling off from CX planes, and the dozens of problems of the planes just freak me out!

In addition, every time I travel in KE, their F/As always do safety checks seriously. Unlike those F/As from CX, they always check the seat belts and seat backs etc. in detail and repeat the procedure for at least 2-3 times.

Regarding KE's safety standard, EVEN KE's safety standard is still below standard(I don't know about their inside stuff), no one can deny that they did improve in recent years. Look at their safety awards which were awarded by Boeing and IATA! Also, some parts of the 787 was manufactured by Korean Air Aerospace Division. I do not think Boeing would let them manufacture such important parts nor award them awards if they still got "horrendous" safety standards.
