Media whore attention hungry lying bitch.

It wouldn't help behind a cat,but I tell you, the person with the cat must be demented if he is going to try to tow that cage for 2000 odd nm...in seas around 3mtr average wave height he won't have much cat or cage left!!

What a load of bullshit, swimming 8hours a day, is NOT swimming the atlantic, that's like going into a swimming pool and just swimming the distance, she is sleeping between it lol WAT A FUCKING N00B, this story is FAKE AND GAY
-
im aware of that fact , all im saying is it would take alot of staminia just to move your hands in circles for that long

skyarsalan: The reason the cage makes it significantly easier is because it will generate a lot of current on its own. She's in the middle of that, so the water she's swimming through is already moving forward, meaning relativistically she's swimming even less distance. Ie. like walking forward on a train.
Also, swimming behind the boat makes it a *lot* easier. That's called "drafting". It breaks through the waves (and gets the water moving forward some,) and she simply follows behind it.

if that were true she would always be at the front..... and even so she would be swimming the distance that it would take becosue if she dident go fast enough and the boat kept going she would touch the end of the cage , there fore stopping her
-
she has a net under her to protect her , not to help her , it probebly dident anyways
-
geez, this has got to be the most pointless debate. she accomplished her dream, she got some publicity, she didn't help anyone but i'm sure she inspired many. i'd like to see one of you guys try this. end of story. moving on!
Only problem is, SHE DIDN'T DO IT!
I'd suggest viewers search and read "The Great Atlantic Swimming Hoax", which shows that there were, and are, a number of inconsistencies with the claims this woman made from the very start.
As it is, she only swam 250 miles - approximately! That ain't no swim across the Atlantic, not by long shot.

it would take the fastest swimmer in the world 20 days at is fastest speed without stopping to swim it in 20 days. She admits to only swimming one day for only about 20 mins, let alone all the other rests she took.
This woman fails at life.
