The crew & passengers of the historic schooner Sylvina W. Beal were honored to have a Northern Right Whale come up beside us in the Bay of Fundy, just off Eastport, Maine. We don't usually see many of these whales this close to Eastport (seeing there's less then 500 in the world), but we were extremely happy when one came up very close to the schooner. Sorry for the crappy video, but I took this on my cell phone. That's also the reason it looks further away then it really was. This was one of my favorite days out sailing that summer.
