  • Even thorny things in nature have an innate beauty. The flowers of this cactus are spectacular indeed, and the fruits are delicious and nutricious.

    Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania.

  • theyre tasty!

  • very nice flowers and fruits

  • There are a lot of varieties of Tunas their real name in spanish, each diferent comes from diferent nopal plants. there are red, white, purple, lila, orange, pink, yellow etc. and each color has their own flavor very similar, but diferent.

those doen't need a lot of water actually none, they grow up on the desert places and it's always fresh and juicy.

  • the prickly pears here are almost like weeds theres too many

  • botanically speaking... a fruit is the 'developed ovaries' of a plant (from the flower) and the meat around them... the cactus pear is a fruit....

The leaves when eaten are a vegetable.

  • I love these. I always wondered what the plant looked like. Thanks

  • awesome!!

  • pwetty pads lol

  • thoughtfoxe: also, after doing some research, I believe the prickly pear qualifies as a fruit botanically.
