Thank you for the comments. I'm still learning and have yet to go far. I'm no way near as good as some of the people on youtube. The bass you see in the video is by a British maker Status Graphite who specialize in graphite neck bass guitars. My bass is a custom Status Graphite King Bass retroglide model.

good lesson! im having trouble getting that "pluck" sound that crisp. any advice on how to set up your EQ? (im playing a passive fender jazz bass as you can see on my videos). boost the highs? tone knob full?

I guess it's the pickups. If you want a nice crisp sound you could put in new lighter gauge strings.
