  • that is one slow arse S60, my 850 T5 eats M3's for breakfast and it only produces 280 bhp. However, it does produce over 370nm of torque which BMW drivers often forget to consider ;)

  • So you eat a M3 with your 850 that has roughly 60bhp less than the beemer? Interesting... I've raced several 850 T5 with up to 320bhp and none of them had a chance against the s60 t5 in the movie..

  • Hahaha, nice one guys, a chipped M3 and the Volovo gets that close...we all know the M3 wacks the fastest VolVo S60 R?? when it is standard, now you tell me that a standard S60 t5 is gonna stay that close to a modified M3?? maybe some ignorant kid will believe that!! a s60 T5 is no more powerful than a S40 T5...the S60 is tuned...and i mean tuned not chipped. that M3 is probably standard

  • As stated in the headline - the M3 should be stock and the s60 T5 ecu-tuned. The injectors are also upgraded on the s60 but the exchaust and everything else is stock. The s60 t5 from 2005 and onwards have more or less the same engine as the s60r, except for some minor differences.

  • This volvo has a B5244 T5 engine. A kkk 24 turbo charger from stock. I dont believe that a 850 stage 1 with a 15-16T (turbo = 15T, T5R= 16T) turbocharger would be anywhere near beating the M3 from rolling start 50km/h :)

  • Everybody here is talking crap... Let's look at the costs. M3 expensive, S60 cheaper! Although the M3 wins in the end... it doesn't win with more than a carlenght! Is that worth thousands of extra dollars. Seems to me your better of buying a Volvo. M3 is more pretty, more noisy, more everything, but the Volvo has the overal package. Compared to the Volvo the Beamer is all show, but not enough go!

  • @05027802 they were just bad drivers hahahah you fail....

  • bmw forever dont forget u idiots!

  • LOVE BOTH CARS! but that BMW loses simply because of that horrible paint color.

  • brutal assrape on the hyped volvo.thats what you get fucking with a stock m3, now imaging the m3 is chipped or modded like your shitty volvo,it'd have been a different story uhh?

  • @lotuzeen 850 TURBO OWNS ALL !!!!!!!

  • Looks like the M3 got a jump and that made all the diff.

  • plus it can it has the better KKK turbocharger.

When you have a 2.4 T5 (S60 and V70 mj 2005-early 2007) and change: downpipe, catback exhaust, bigger injectors, alloy intercooler, custom intake with additional ram air (vents at V shaped engine hood) and custom chiptuning you can get easily about 350-360 wheel! horse power and 450-500 NM. I would not go over 450 NM though because the gearbox reaches its limits.

The 2.4 T5 is safe to be tuned to 400 hp with all the reinforced engine parts.

  • thats true jocket5 but only when we talk about "light tuning" with exhaust, chip etc.

The old 2.3 T5 are actully more safe to tune over 500 hp because the walls between the cylinders are much thicker than on the 2.5 R engine for example. I know some guys in germany that switched a perfectly working engine in an S60 R for an refined and tuned 2.3 T5 engine.

But I think that the 2.4 T5 has also a very great potential because it has the stronger engine components from the R (reinforced parts)
