@clubpenguintvization You've heard the theory that a Cubone is a baby Kangaskhan whose mother died and has put on her skull, right? Cubone then evolves into Marowak and it was originally intended in the first gen of games that Marowak would then evolve into a Kangaskhan - but due to last minute changes, it was decided instead that Kangaskhan would have no evolutions. The extra code would be too time consuming to completely discard so they put it in an empty spot with no number. = MissingNo.

@papasmurfXXX Just an odd idea but maybe not, 4 is an unlucky number in Japan associated with death so that's possibly why there's only ever been secret legendaries in teams of 3 like the birds, dogs, regi's, psychics and thunder/tornado/land ones in 5th gen.
