From 2008-2010 Verizon did not pay any federal corporate income taxes, despite billions in profits. Yet Verizon's executives want to destroy the middle class jobs of 45,000 union workers. Here's what they have to say about it.

  • Bravo Verizon workers for standing up to corporate greed! The first step on the road back to rebuilding the middle class!

Verizon do the right thing, step up and take back your standing as a good corporate citizen. Give your workers a fair contract, return work you shipped overseas to the US and pay your fair share of taxes.

  • @novakopach5I did the same.It pisses me off when non-union people say it's unreasonable to think Verizon should pay for employee medical benefits. As an employee of Verizon,Bell Atlantic,NYNEX,New York Telephone,I & my fellow union members took less in wage increases in return for benefits. We are supposed to hand those benefits back?Calculate those wage increases & give them to the members,if you want employees to pay a portion of their benefits. You'll never see that.Solidarity forever,CWA!

  • @benny5789 Nope, because tax is theft. Say I stole $100 from you but I told you that I spent it on charity. Would you be happy? And more precisely, imagine that I also told you that I kept about 80% of it for "operational costs." Stealing from the government is hardly an injustice.

  • @TheStig000 apparently you dont use the roads? never went to school? dont need any form or police or fire protection? Have your own army? Generate your own electricity? Completely self sufficient? If you use any of these, and you arent paying taxes, you have commited theft

  • @NYCubeMan Fuck you tool

  • Freakin verizon you guys are rip-offs sometimes. i thought it was just customers you guys swindle didnt know it was your workers too. Giant shame i'm switching as soon as i get the chance but i support your workers who deserve better. its the execs that seem to have the problem.

  • well when health care reform goes completely in effect, verizon won't be allowed to deny their employees, union or otherwise, medical benefits. the moment they do, they will have to answer to the government. They will get what's comming to them and the mentality that CEOs and people at the top can just take anything they want will stop

  • Just saw this as an ad on a different video. Sending it to everyone i know. Love and Solidarity! The American people stand with you!

  • @Ryanpbny They're union,aren't they?What the hell is wrong with you.

  • @carcabe Babies?Expect other's to fight our battles?I've been on plenty picket lines, paticipated in many rallies called by the union.Did mobile picketing when out of town scabs(the ones you support who take food off worker's tables)attempted to break our strike.Spent 4 months on strike in '89 and worked with many members who were out for 7 months in '71.Don't tell me someone else fights my battles, you jerk.

  • @carcabe The working man & woman are entitled to a living wage & benefits.CWA has bargained in good faith with Verizon.I,and members like me,are entitled to fair play from the company in return for an honest day's work. The company gets that. What have they done in return?Outsourced jobs, pressure members to accept less & no insurances of a job in the future.Ingrates?I worked my butt off for this company.I want to be fairly treated. The company has made a pile.No one gets rich as a tech for Verizon.
