A microburst hit Princeton, Kansas July 8, 2009, causing wind and rain damage to parts of Franklin County. This video is courtesy of Joshua Bryant who was present during the storm in Princeton.
I was in this microburst...I was out by our chicken coop & couldn't get back inside to our house the winds were so strong! Not something I'll ever forget
When I was younger we were camping when a microburt hit. We had to get up in the middle of the night in the pouring rain and wind to take down our awning. Our house was about 1.5hrs away and what we got camping was just a glimpse of the real wrath that struck in our town. Trees down, road signs blown away, debris everywhere. The neighbor across the street watched the whole thing happen. Said it was just like a wall of wind swept down the street. Crazy
Well take a positive look at this.
Your car gets cleaned in front of your house.
Your home windows are clean.
And you dont have to give the grass water for months now.
BTW, its called a microburst, but there is nothing micro about it. And it is "only" 92 miles a hour.......

Boy, that just keeps going and going, comparatively speaking. Others I've seen on YouTube pass much more quickly.
