Utah Belly Dance 2011

This was the Annual Belly Dance Spring Fest of 2011 in Utah, and it was a pretty fun event to witness and document.
Thia was a great person to have let me document this, especially on such sort notice.
this was my first documentary as well as on location work.

Thank you for posting this on You Tube! It's great to see the Lotus Buds, Sahara Dreams, Amina's class, and Amina's double Sword with the band Kairo by Night. I absolutely love Thia, Sulisha, Amina, Black Star, Hathor Dance....I could go on and on. I was really disappointed this year, my camera was broken and I didn't get to film any of the dancers. :-(

It's lovely to see this documentary. So many people hear the words "belly dance" and immediately judge; whereas, I can honestly say my daughter would NEVER be allowed to do some of the moves in jazz and hiphop-- let alone wear the skimpy tap pants and some of the other outfits.
