DAOC was the first and last game that i felt complete joy and pride to be part of. We will all be lucky if we should experience something like that again in our lives.

From the very first time I saw this on the Kallisti website many many years ago, it's made me bawl my eyes out. The song is perfect and the procession through the snowy scenes is really moving. I've been showing this during my work related MMORPG presentations many times now, as an example of the power of emotion and bonding one can have through a game. That these characters are much more than pixels and polygons.

I enjoy watching these old videos. Shows just how much we are missing with todays generation of games and gamers. It makes me sad, yet proud I got to share the experiences.

Ive played A LOT of MMOs and none of them have the community that DAoC did. Sure you got your guilds and fleets and what nots.. but DAoC had a massive amount of friendship and respect across all realms and across all servers that has not been seen since. DAoC brought a rare breed of gamers together... when the dust settled at the end of the night, your in game foes were your best friends. I really miss that in todays games.

@ilyaz619 yes, there was a time in a mmo where people met in RL for fun and get friends in RL. This time was DAoC ;) the best online time in my whole life....

Seems like no game or game community will never be like Daoc Galahad. I remember roaming Emain with Reyez and Teletha like it was yesterday. Reyez smacking people with his nasty hammer and Teletha keeping everyone else Zzzz'ed.
ps: We miss you to Hydro. And everyone else that played on Galahad, even the albs.

Amazing job on the memorial. I cant believe how organized it looked and how people had so much respect to follow orders to stay in line.

I was in game at this event ....yes it was laggy, and yes we pvp'd a little bit afterwards, but honestly it was the most epic thing I ever was a part of in an mmorpg. Thank you Kallisti!!

Watched this today for the first time in a long time and sat in my office with tears streaming down my face...
