In late 1925 (October 6, 7, and December 8,1925) Stokowski made his first electrical recording ( Used under lisenced by Western Electric Vitaphone system ) of a symphony: the Dvorak Symphony No.5 (9) "From the New World", opus 95. Played by Orthophonic Vctrola " CREDENZA "

  • Oh, by the way, this is not the very first Stokowski electrical recording. The very first one was Saint-saens' Dance Macabre. Check the Stokowski-org website about the details.

  • I now, this record is first electrical recording of a "symphony " .

  • Thank you for your coment. Also I have later version of this Stokowski's "From The New World " , called Vcitor M-1 album. This album used same number like this record , but sound was deffarent. So , I think this was recorded in 1925 and M-1 was rerecord in 1926 or 1927.I tried up load later .
