@Bezounajamil no, i would say thats playing with it. I have a cat that was a master hunter but she did the samething with crickets and other insects. but once a rodent, bird or lizard popped up she went right for the kill

I have 2 mousers around my chicken coop and they eat the rats that would kill new chicks and chew holes threw the floor. Many people all over the world still use cats as pest control and it has to be better for the environment than poison. My grandmother had a Yorkshire terrier to kill the mice and rats that got into her house.

Think about the reason they were domesticated in the first place. Egyptians started worshiping them because they saved their grain from mice.
