@elladorablack This is Vaganova-class. Everything matters. The center barre is the place for the best girls, the further from center, the least potential the teacher sees in you. Same in the center practices: in the middle, you have the best, in the back to the sides, the worst. Nothing is "fair" or "nice," just honest.

being vaganova an important academy, they interview their students and pay a lot of attention to the propotions, yeah... But.
if u haven't notice, the leotard helps them a lot. is also the uniform, so stop thinking they're aliens or fairies. if your body is normal, and u can dance... the rest does not matter really.

How old are all of these videos that you have Ilya? And yes I would also like to see more boys classes if you have any! :) But these girls are great, such inspiration :)

this is class. it doesnt rly matter who goes in front, esp at the bar coz everyone can be seen!! and there is no way she looks stumpy and fat. besides, some of the SKINNY girls' weight placement is so off it doesnt matter that theyre thin

I share the same concern as you because unfortunately I have a long upper torso as well (although i have been told my body is very proportionate). I think we all desire those legs and lines (though they long upper torsos are beautiful for Graham work! lol)
