Singing standards too. Aritha does it all.

I remember this from my college days at Bishop College in Dallas. The late great diva, Rubye Nell Hebert, and I spent many evenings enjoying the stylings of a young Aretha.

@DaOrigTruthSeeker i'm not arguing,,,,but there is nothing wrong with singing in one style and i don't know why people get all huffy about. great artists in any medium, music-art-acting whatever, do it THEIR WAY. that is their stamp, that is their style, that is their greatness. it would be like saying denzel can't do comedy. who cares - that is not his contribution. artists who have many styles have NO style, and they end up doing background work, like supporting actors and backup singers

i don't know what to admire ,,,aretha or the video quality!!!!

What can one say.....but Diva.....wonderful voice, so defined..

Simplier times... amazing.

This proves for those who say she is one dementional in her singing style that she is not. Some people say she only can sound churchy....but this was a departure from that style of singing. This woman is just awesome and only a dishonest or jealous person would deny it.

I was sitting in my postal work van couple years ago and heard the recorded version of this song on the radio. I was stunned to learn it was Aretha from 1964 (when I was 12).
I've heard many singers do this song - but noone does it better - absolute perfection in singing and production.
