How to Replace an AmplifierAn antenna amplifier may break down during antenna operation for a number of reasons. If it breaks down, you need to select a new amplifier and replace the faulty one. Amplifiers fall under two types i.e. broad-band amplifiers of SVA and LD series. Both amplifier types have a universal design and they are interchangeable. YOU SHOULD SELECT AN AMPLIFIER BASED ON THE TV-SIGNAL RECEPTION AREA. There are three areas of reception i.e. primary-service area, poor reception area and weak signal areas. Depending on the area, the amplifier can have the amplification factor ranging from 8 decibels in the primary-service area to 39 decibels in the weak signal area. After you have selected an amplifier, replace it. First of all, remove the antenna from its location and put it on an even surface. Then screw off the amplification box with a screwdriver. All amplifiers are fastened with two screws. Screw off and remove a faulty amplifier. Then screw on a new one. Put the cover back and screw on the box. After you have installed the amplifier, put the antenna back to its place. That is all. You have replaced the amplifier. Now you can enjoy watching your favourite TV-broadcasts and movies.
I'm guessing that didn't work when you got done since you didn't tighten the most important screw.
