Had a DODGE CORONET R/T 440Magnum, Ram Air, Stock , totally , had the stock exhaust, sounded so good people used to always say it sounded so good...

Made a "RUN" on a basically straight 12 mile stretch between to towns in upstate NY ;12 up& 12 back left at 5:00PM was back at 5:12PM 24 miles in 12 minutes....passed cars on the way back ,that we saw in the opposite lane as we went up!

AVERAGED 120MILES PER HOUR, AVERAGED, so how fast did we really go,

Man !!!  I wish I was riding shotgun for that trip. Those 440 motors were monsters on the highway... that is why they used them in state trooper cars in the 70's .

this is manifolds and (OEM or stock replacement) mufflers?? Ive always been curious to this as most restored cars have new stuff or headers. Have never heard an actual factory exhaust on older Mopars as most low mileage originals ive seen are indoors or trailered and never fired..thanks for posting....piss on flowmasters,that sounds sweet my friend!

Hey there... yes , those are stock log exhaust manifolds. You can check out my engine specs vid on my channel. The mufflers are stock OEM Chrysler items. The only non-stock piece is the hotter than stock cam in the 440 which replaced the original 383.Straight pipes all the way to the stock chrome tips at the back.I agree about the Flowmasters...they only sound OK at a narrow rpm range, then they are obnoxious at any other speed.
