I'm American, and I laughed my ass off at this play. Some hysterical busybodies just need to feel offended and angry about something in order to feel right: it's like crack for them. I don't see any of the people going berserk over this play going on a crusade against Jerry Springer... just an opera that makes fun of it.

This Documentary is BS all the Opera was doing was highlighting the people and stupid but funny issues on the JS show........makers of the documentary; your looking for something that's not there!

Oh my god! This show has nothing to do with hatred towards Americans. The makers of the musical merely saw how the dramatic nature of the Jerry Springer Show matched the melodrama in Opera and decided it would be a good idea for a comic show. Those kind of outrageous characters were constantly on the TV show and are therefore featured in the musical as a reflection of the TV show, not the American people in general!

It is just a film, that frankly not many british people have heard of, and being just a film it is only the ideas of a few people who created it not the entirity of Britain or any other country. Also Americans should be no more insulted with this then how they have portrayed other cultures in their shows. Just agree to disagree and laugh it off.
Saying "hitler had more class" is not very tasteful and quite offensive.
