More 'Sessions at..' video from 1999, @ tail end of ITD? tour. This session may have been taped earlier in the previous year, but aired in '99.. not exactly sure. In any case, don't think this song has ever been featured on youtube before, in any live form, in any year.

At least tangentially inspired by the Capt. Beefheart song, 'Dropout Boogie'. Some lyrical similarity, at least. That song serves as a rough starting point for this one, but their respective tones or attitudes seem quite different.

Sound note: there is an underlying sinister, gurgling sounding programmed (I assume) keyboard effect throughout this live version. Unfortunately, it cannot be heard so well on this youtube transfer.

  • Me too (love it). it's one of those songs that requires more listening patience to appreciate. And even then, if you need concrete, obvious meaning from your songs, you won't necessarily find it here. You are left to interpret much of it in your own way. It's vague mystery is part of what I find appealing.

  • ah, right. I remember seeing that on here, now that you mention it.
