The president of syria Bashir Al-Assad says that eh supports the UN Ceasefire. A ceasefire which Israel and Hamas have not obliged by. He argues that you cannot have a ceasefire simply beaice one entity is causig more grief and destruction compared to the other we all know who that is. But he says the ceasefire was very vague as there is no no mechanism of how to implement it.

He also denies influencing Hamas on whether to agree to the new ceasfire proposed by Egypt and says that Damascus is in dialogue with Hamas. He also belives that the Egyptian proposal is more stronger then the UN ceasefire since well it actually Involves the Parties in this onslught or genocide.
