@tolkienfan51 Holy crap, you're so right & now pointed out it's actually quite eerie.
Funnily enough, maybe just like Joe, Thatcher was aiming to be just like those at top of the hill!

Interesting old views of halifax/bradford

"Yes Kirgate was there and Ivgate was there. So was Forster Square Railway Station, in 1959, I stopped at that station two years later, Just like Joe did at the begiinning. But it's not there now. .

"The Bus was going up Bolton Road. Looking down on Canal Road."

"The Mill, at the beginning. I think was John Burnleys?"

I enjoyed Hermione's short performance. Glad she got recognised with an Oscar nod!

All these scenes are great. These are some of the best character and veteran actors ever.
I'd like to understand why Laurence Harvey seemed to yield to his critics after they said he was over the hill. I don't think he was through at all with his potential. Older makes for more distinguished.

Is it just me or does Susan's mother seem to embody Margaret Thatcher in every way, her voice, her looks, her mannerisms, her style! I keep waiting for her to say "The lady's not for turning!"
