@Treazurer Here is the problem with your theory:
1) You can't record Live TV with your XBMC
2) The XBox HDD has very limited storage space: while you are playing up to 250GB the HTPC can store up to 2 to 3 TBs, depending on How many HDDs you stuff into the HTPC case
3) You can only stream to an Xbox. An HTPC can not only stream, it can Rip, Copy or Burn DVDs, Blu Ray or CDs, also depending on what you want your HTPC to do
4) An XBOX Controller for a remote? Hope your Girl likes it....

i use xbmc on xbox1 only. on OSX, Windows and any other device i tried XBMC on the remote is unacceptable.
The original OSX Remote works fine with Frontrow but not with XMBC? that is a lousy concept for XBMC. Same with any remote I found for Android (e.g. Remote+).
So yet there is doesnt seem to be the perfect solution.

How did you boot straight into MeediOS

i didnt. i stripped the windows a lot. tweakUI helped a great deal. also there are great modded XPs from Project-OS org. This HTPC is really a rather old project of mine. Currently i work with uShare,XBMC,X360 ...
uShare is THE thing
