Samantha and I went riding in the woods,she wanted to go squirrel hunting,came close in getting a few,she got real excited,we had the pink floyd ,run like hell blasting on the kenwood,one of her favorites,then we stopped at the creek to go swimming,then we went and ate some bar-q,she loved it...

YESTERDAY,I REPLACE BOTH IGNITION COILS,THE EXHAUST COIL WAS LEAKING OIL AND GETTING HOT,IT CAUSED THE COIL WIRE BOOT TO SWELL ,I PUT AN OHM METER ON IT TO CHECK RESISTANCE,IT READ 1.7 ,WAY TO HIGH,WAS LEAVING BURNT MARKS IN DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND PLUGS WERENT RIGHT,NOW,IT RUNS LIKE NEW,FIRST TIME THEY WERE REPLACED,23.00 EACH.

how did you convert to the weber?

@1quickI6 The old carb. had 2 ports coming out which the weber has one,i had to remove some valves,plug some lines,its alot to get right,too long to list here,but it runs so good,if you want a diagram how to make the conversion,send me your email address,will get yours so right,i have a weber for sale,like new,comes with kit...

Man, that thing looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor! Weird seeing one in such nice shape. I had an '86 KC4x4, Napa Z 2.4L engine, but mine was posessed by gremlins! It was gutless, got aweful milage, and 2.4L Toyota 4x4's would totally dust me. It also ate BCDD valves and occasionally the fuel supply would shut off so I had pull over and wait about 5 minutes for it to work again. Weird! XD Otherwise, I had some pretty good times with that truck.

@jcmegabytethanks for the great comment,I had my problems,but I have had it for 17 yaers,I pretty much have replaced almost everything,this truck has made me a expert fixing it,so since i have the knowledge of this year,its death till do us part,its my babydoll.

FOR ALL those with 720's....Does your truck stop wanting to run? let it sit...and it runs just fine? CHECK THE VENT ON YOUR GAS CAP!!!! REALLY. Mine did the same thing, bought my truck of a guy that got so pissed he sold it to me for $500.00. Found a heavy VACUME in tank...replaced cap and she runs great!! Problem fixed.

jc- your 720 just needed a new in-tank pump controller 28545-89900. about 15 bucks at the dealer. it's located on the pasenger kick panel trim at the top. very common problem on all carbed Z24 720's. no gremlins- just a stupid 2-phase ignition system. burning up carb solenoids and decel devices are a couple of the nicer symptoms- getting beat by toyotas is a much more serious problem. a federal spec Z22 carb can run with any spanish weber setup... way cheaper. dual ignition, Napa valley, dude!
