I have noticed, and am sure others have as well, the state of opinion in YouTube with regards to gun rights and gun control.

Gun rights videos tend to usually have a very positive response overall with high positive ratings and comments overwhelmingly in support of gun rights and the occasional gun control comment is usually effectively countered.

In contrast, gun control videos are either rated very low or the video poster blocks all comments and ratings from being posted.

In my opinion the ideal way to protect yourself is carry pepper spray and a firearm. The firearm being the "last resort"see how a taser works on someone wearing several layers of clothes in the winter time. In that case pepper spray would be more effective.tasers are illegal in my sate anyway. So pepper spray and a .40 cal it is

Yes the best criminals are the worst manipulators is correct .. And if guns and concealed carry were made illegal it would solve the problem right? Probably as well as it solved the drug problem.cause god knows you can go around the corner and get coke anywhere in this great free country... So if a criminal comes after me with a gun I want a little more then a taser thanks.... If you want to be a victim that's your choice. Don't take my right away

@willirwin21They are statistically more effective and safe than firearms by HUGE numbers. and without knowing the numbers, that is kinda common sense. Police carry them, just not on a wide scale because TASERS look like toys, and the primary function of a police firearm is to look like something that can kill you, which tasers can't- plus, police are surely the exception to what I discussed, of course they should be able to use firearms. If you feel that you NEED to carry a gun around, so be it.

@astralacuity Actually tasers are not always effective. If they were, why do police still carry firearms? I don't own guns for self defense. I'm a collector and shooter. I enjoy them as a hobby, not because I feel I have to own one to defend myself.

@willirwin21 Weeding out criminals and nutcases would be a very effective way of settling this situation- but the worst criminals are the best manipulators, and its all this effort really just to feel fulfilled because you're armed. If you want to shoot, go hunting or to a range. If you want protection, get a taser. With a taser, it doesn't matter where you hit- it will be effective anywhere, you only have to shoot once, they are down instantly every time, and you control their pain.
