Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.
Test details:

The Chrysler PT Cruiser was introduced in the 2001 model year. Beginning with 2006 models, an inflatable knee bolster was added to the lower instrument panel designed to minimize knee injuries to drivers in frontal crashes.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummys head hit the roof rail.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible.

  • Just wanted to say I love this car. No it does not have a good turning radius. And whoever told that guy it has good gas mileage, my granny's 09 pt only averages 22 tops MPG.

  • i like this car, its like a classic-style car, the HHR like a classic-modern style that just makes me love it, lol

  • the 2000-2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser was assembled in

    Toluca, Mexico

    Graz, Austria (2002, Magna Steyr)

  • @alexkvaskov It's a trash car but it's great for the elderly. My Mother in law who is 76 just rented one and is considering purchasing it. She likes it because it's fairly comfortable, and she can see out of it easily, it's very good on fuel and is very practical

  • they should get a sexy female voice

  • can't believe this piece of utter rubbish got a "good" rating

  • These cars don't have a good turning radius.

  • Ughh they couldn't have got a less annoying narrator?
