Cambridge Kina Grannis with lyrics

I've been repeatedly listening to this song! And no, not because of Wongfu's "Strangers, Again" video. I heard of this song before I even saw the trailer or the video. But I've fallen in love with this song. Like most people, this song is highly relevant to my past love life, explaining exactly where how I felt and what I, TOO, was trying to get across to my significant other during that time. Half-committed relationships don't always end on a good note. Some are able to compromise and grow from their mistakes. Others, take eachother for granted and the relationship slips into a sinkhole. But it doesn't mean that the story will end there... either a new chapter opens or, in many rare cases, the grace of love brings both back to rekindle what was lost. The future isn't always predictable but only through God alone, will it be when all what seems lost, will be found.

I absolutely loved the part where Kina Grannis sang, "Now please don't get this wrong. You know I want you. But don't think I won't move on". This stanza reminded me of the video "Rumor Has It" where Jennifer Aniston's character had said to her significant other, "I didn't come here to tell you that I can't live without you. I can live without you. I just don't want to." I guess that line just reminds me of why I had stayed with my past significant other so long. Ofcourse I knew that I can do better. Anybody can always do better. But I made that choice to stay with him because I loved him. Because many times, I had thought he actually 'came home'. But then again... if the other person is unwillingly able to meet you halfway and compromise, ofcourse you'll learn to move on. Life will bring its opportunities, all that you need to do is respond back to the ones that you know are good for you in the long term. For every person... they should think of their long term rather than their short term. Short term goals last for the temporary moment unlike long term goals, where they bring you glory, joy, peace, and many more blessings along the way. In other words... get what you NEED, not what you WANT.


Sorry! I'm a big time philosopher when it comes to relationships (as you can tell), that's why I had to express my opinions. :) Hopefully you all understood! Feel free to express your opinions back!

@ginyak88 That was quite a coincidence. I first heard this when I saw her perform it, and I felt like she was describing my life. And all we have now is our faith and love for eachother,we still have yet to get to know eachother more.. but we already feel we're in love. We have facebook lol but I'd really like him to be here (He'd like that too but not much job opportunities and housing.. He might be continuing school somewhere else also) Since that day I added him, i've been falling :) He made me laugh, made me happy and i noticed i've been smiling alot more :) so wat if it's facebook..lol I first met him through that..

He is back to his town he's been living most of his life and i found out while i was getting to know him that he was born here in my home-town and the part on the song where it says "I'm waiting..." just makes me want him to come back.. He's visited a couple times here in his old town and he met me the first time he's come back in over 10 years,We're still young(i'm 4 months older lol)

I don't know why i'm crying right now!!!!?!?! But I have read your description and while reading it i was listening to "Every teardop is a waterfall" How convenient! lol This song is so very beautiful and describes my current relationship with this young man.. <3 I met him randomly through friends on facebook (lol) he was my childhood friend's friend- My childhood friend lived in another town and I haven't been communicating much other than on facebook comments and such.
