why the hell did the make Inferno a Predacon? In the original cartoon he was an Autobot

They re-use names all the time. Armada Wheeljack was a Decepticon, Armada Scavenger was an Autobot, ROTF Wheelie and Jetfire were initially Decepticons, Animated Jetstorm was an Autobot, and Animated Slipstream was not only a Decepticon, but also female.
