Talk a walk through the "jungle" with a Glock 19 9mm. This was a wooded course of 125 yards, shooting at water bottles and various hard steel targets. You, the viewer, get the first person point-of-view by way of the Sony Handycam strapped to my right arm.

The technical setup for this was very challenging. First, how to secure the camera (athletic socks, painters tape, duct tape), insuring that the view included the gun and targets...and that the camera didn't move....too much. I was fortunate to make the number of hits I did, as I had to rely on alot of point shooting. Mounted on my right arm just below the shoulder, the camera's screen folds out to the left, so it was in my face, altering my shooting stance and obstructing the sight picture. I have some other ideas for POV, which I'll share later as they hopefully come to fruition.

This particular Glock 19 has Tru Glo night sights, which show up well in the video.

  • I'm sorry but your aim is atrocious...

  • @bbox

Has anyone figured out that I was doing this with a camera strapped to my wrist, as in, my stance, sight picture, everything is impacted? For that matter, I was aiming through the viewfinder to insure that I was capturing this on camera. This concept and that of the scope cam videos seem to be difficult to grasp. I wonder why I'm pretty much the only person on YouTube posting stuff like this.

  • how can u make a first person camera?

  • @SoccerPlayerDestiny

Several methods. Helmet cam, arm cam, gun cam, etc.

  • bad shooting sorry

  • @czcz75

Yeah, that happens when I'm wearing a camera strapped to my arm and focusing more on the viewfinder to insure that the camera is capturing the action. Field of view is obstructed, and cannot get into a natural shooting stance with regard to my arms, wrist, etc.. Anytime I try something such as this, helmet cam, scope cam, etc., that is typically the effect....shooting quality WILL be impacted. Try it sometime.

  • @tnoutdoors9 There are some kids that do something along the lines of this... they go by TheORIGINALNightHawk. They are just kids with BBguns but its still pretty cool

  • I did in fact enjoy the jungle walk.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS SOME CRAZY ASS VIDEO!

  • @tnoutdoors9 Normally, I'd be like "Uh-huh, SURE..." but I've seen your other vids, you're not usually this bad lol.

So, POV cam strapped to the arm... not good! noted!

  • @tnoutdoors9 I have lots of P.O.V style vids posted and will continue to do so.I am very close to perfecting the wrist strap method you used in this vid and have made several other types of mounts for P.O.V. style shooting videos.I enjoy just about everything you upload and aspire to have a channel as popular yours someday.I made partner with probably the fewest subscribers in Youtube history and I am working on making P.O.V. synonymous with anad41775.
