@ramblingcolleen i'd venture to guess you are focusing on the wrong things. "At 2.43am, the New York Observer reported that photographers with credentials were barred from Liberty Square. Seconds later the director of editorial operations at Gawker reported that a CBS news chopper were ordered out of the sky by the NYPD. New York Times journalist Jarid Malsin went to jail in zipties..."

if you are going to talk about the police force, you should talk about the protesters who peed on their cars and let the air out of their tires and spit on them... this was after about 2-3 hours of people in the streets and the police not doing anything
