Here we have a segment which was popular back in the 90's, Mainly the game is this, It's a big rectangular box, which is clear on all sides, Now, inside the box air is pumped into and the money circulates inside mixing and swirling about. Before the game starts, 1 Person picked from a range of people who phoned in to a question of a previous episode who got correct and is chosen to choose 1 of 3 currencies usually worth more than a grand it's self, for example in this video. Then Noel will bring out either a celeb or audience member to help out with the grabbing and placed him of her into the box and occasionally throws the money in first then ask 3 questions to the phone in contestant.
Time, was sorted out in the three questions, each correct answer gives the person in the box 20 seconds to grab the money, with the maximum of 60 seconds inside.
Variations, As the show got to a point in it's life, they did a few grab a grand episodes outside the set of "Crinkly Bottom" and went to different locations, one of them was literally inside a house living room one time.. Then as it drew to it's 100th episode, they literally added in puns like Grab-a-Gran, Grab a Grand National and then eventually Grand a Grand Finale, with kings and Queens bouncing up and down.. Even the audience got a chance to participate as well.. and some episodes allowed the grabber to get the same as the call in contestant.
Sadly, the game got replaced with a more directional game called Cash For Questions, it was enjoyable too.. but as the series got more and more awkward.. they began losing viewers.. and in 1999, the series ended after 169 shows all together.
I would Love to see Noel Bring this show back.. but if we can't get Noel Edmonds, we could get Other Hosts to host the House Party one more time and even connect it with the national lottery itself, It can Be Done...
