i was locked up when i heard this on the radio.... i was on my cell 2 o'clock in the morning and i couldn't sleep... when this song came on, i jumped off the top bunk and turned on the lights waking my celly up, found a pen and paper and started writing down the lyrics he was singing.... cuz i knew when i got out i was gonna google it, good thing i did cuz this song is fucking awesom.....

I don't think so. His lover and him are going through the motions, but neither of them love one another. Both of them -- like their parents before -- know how to lie to one another and act in a way that would keep their relationship going, but it's just that -- lies. They don't hate each other. Their love fizzled out without real cause, as a lot of relationships do, but they're scared to start over again with someone new. It's harder since neither of them are to blame for the failure.
