Just taking the Hilux for a fly. NOTE the speedometer is 83.3% accurate.
40mph is ~34mph on speedometer, 60mph is ~50mph on speedometer, and... 105mph is ~89mph on speedometer lol
I used an app on my GalaxyS2 for gps correction to show real speed.
4g iPod touch for video.
I have two other videos to show the gps speed vs truck readings.
I went from 1,2,3,4....,5,4. I was hoping 5th could be used, but the 22re didn't wanna try...
I shift at about 4800rpm-5000rpm and 22re's produced 112hp@4600/4800rpm. Maybe I could've shifted higher, idk, torque is 145lb @ 3600ish.
Not bad for a Toyota Hilux XCab... ~2800-2900lbs and 112hp.

  • nice. my temp gauge is broke also.

  • @jordonswisher It's not broken, the trucks read like that. Since it was colder out, it reads right above the line or on it. I'm also doing 100mph so the truck's engine isn't staying warm.

On a hot day it'll read around 1/4th mark, and if it ever overheats, it gets to 1/2th mark. That only happens when my fan belt snaps lol.
