Thanks for this! I was there and remember it well. So many flash bulbs (yes, flash bulbs.....) that you could see a huge silhouette of Ringo drumming, head swaying back and forth, on the back wall of the Cow Palace. Wonderful memory.

@Calvingreen17 i love that they filmed john playing it, its the only footage i ever seen of him playing a solo during beatlemania

@nightcrawler511 Oh yeah. And when John was playing the solo I coulda sworn he was staring right at the camera man like "Turn the fuck away' Why you never like playing solos Lennon?

The Beatles RULE! George Harrison was so fine, with his thick wavy hair and his deep, sexy voice! I LOVE THIS VIDEO!

@ccolzani That must have been so annoying, nowadays they have the 8 billion watt PA systems and bass that shakes the whole building, you cant even talk to the person beside you without cupping your hands and screaming into their ear...Beatles shouldve had that so you couldnt hear the screaming broads

the only footage of john playing you cant do that solo SWEET!!!

Notice how the Birth Control Pill was invented by the Pope as soon as He Creationed the Beatles -- the walkin', talkin' reason for birth control. And then the Vatican de-constitutionalized the Sixth Commandment -- Thou Hathst Bettereth Committeths Adulteriesth. That's why God made four of them. Happy menages!

Amazing the Big One didn't earthquake St. Francis's city yet again. Alaska Earthquake instead, same time as the British Invasion. Payback time for the Revolution, another Beatles song. What goes around, comes around. Instant Karma, sang John Lennon, right before he was gunned down in New Holland.

I was there! I was 10 years old. I loved the Beatles and as soon as I heard they were coming to the United States I asked my mother to send a check to the Cow Palace - that is how it was done back then. I think the tickets were $3.75 each. Those seats were near the back of the flat area. Very difficult to see as everyone was standing on their metal folding chairs...and screaming at the top of their lungs! Could barely hear them singing...my mother made us leave after 3 songs...too loud.

It was so loud you could hardly hear them. I just wanted everyone to stop screaming so I could hear the music. My brother and I grew up a few blocks from the Cow Palace. So earlier in the day we went over to the back entrance and waited. There were only a few others there. When the limo pulled up it stopped for a while. I remember George waving at us.

@ccolzani You are my dear sister and what a blast we had huh? The limo pulled up and stopped for a few minutes waiting for the gate to be unlocked. I walked over and peeked in the window and George was sitting there smiling and waving. Paul and Ringo were sitting there too with big grins. John was in the front seat and kept turning around. They all seemed so happy. I waved to my sister to come over and she did and looked in too. No security or police. I'll never forget it.
