I have to say I bought a Dell Mini-10v netbook running Ubuntu. It's fantastic. I've since swapped over an HP dv2000 that came with Windows Vista 64 and that gave me ongoing grief for a year -- I eventually crashed that system and overwrote it with Ubuntu 9.04 and it's perfect now -- and I upgraded the Dell Mi.ni10v to Ubuntu 10.xx
The Ubuntu is superb. Although I've always been a PC person, I've been told its interface is more Mac than PC. The Ubuntu comes with a full office suite -- free.
