@metalx1000 Hearing that, to my mind, it's been worth it for the LOL's! :D

@TableWolfMusic: You know, This video has been up for 2 years and has 42,648 views, and you are the first person to bring this to my attention. Yes you are right. Export music have disabled the audio recorder. Thanks for pointing out. It's a little late to fix it now, but I don't think I said to much after that. Thanks for watching.

For anybody else, does the video youtube audio go silent after about nine and a half minutes when the "export" button is clicked in the tutorial?

@mattgeb84: So, when you first start Ardour up and you name the project and click "NEW" it asks you to choose a device? Could you give me more info? What Distro are you running? What version of Ardour are you running? Did you install it using you Package manager? Any info would be useful.

You say you "always select all four" when you export files, but I'm pretty sure that way you are sending *both* channels to the left *and* right channel in the audio file. Isn't that setting for indicating which channel should be "left" and which should be "right" in the exported audio file?

@CaptainChaos: Yup, some one already pointed that out below. Basically doing what I did creates a mono style stereo files, if that makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for this tuitorial, I struggled with this program a couple of years back, although I knew it had awesome capabilities, I couldn't get a grip on it. This is the best overview tut.
Maybe I will have another crack at using zynaddsubfx + hydrogen.
I still don't fully get how to use the Jack settings at all though, it seems pretty poorly documented,(or I just didn't understand it!).
Thanks again.

@GPEART1: Jack and be a little confusing at first. Just think of it as a sound board that allows you to connect all the Audio input/outputs of your Audio programs together. Also, have a look at a program called Patchage. It is a great GUI front end for JACK
