@khaneo Thanks for your comment!
actually its not 5*5 = 25 options, it's 5^6 that means that you have in theory 15625 options.
explanation: each finger has 6 options: up, down, right, left, tap, none.
but you can use multiple fingers movements! for instance in order to type "V" use two fingers together in the shape of "V" - first and second fingers "UP" and the others "None".
But there is a limitation about how many *comfortable* movements you can do...
Good luck!

it seems to be a great app with bright future yet i can't help but think that 5 fingers with 4+1 direction (im guessing a touch in the middle is counted) would mean 25 character and if im not wrong English has 26 alphabet so how are you gonna do the extra 1 ? not to mention the space bar, the shift for capital letters and the numbers, oh and also the symbols ? (im sure you figured all of them but im just wondering).
again great app :)

Looks pretty cool, but I see a problem. If this goes big, and makes it to every PC, and tablet alike, people cannot user one another's UpSense, because the language will be different. Another problem, is the time it takes to get used to. Someone can learn to type 40 WPM on the keyboard in about a day. I suggest you bring in someone totally new to UpSense and see how fast they can learn to type 30 WPM. Best of luck.
