In the video I didn't do such a great job hitting the beat when you had to shake the phone, the game is actually very responsive, I was just only using one hand to play the game and the other was holding the camera which gave me a little trouble.

While DJ Nights looks easy because you can tap anywhere on the screen to hit the beat you still have to time it right or the beat wont hit. So it's not as easy as it looks, besides, hitting the sides allows you to see the middle of the screen better.

I tried one of these beat games in front of a bunch of best buy kids. I failed horrible and they all laughed. I ran away bursting in tears and they laughed even more. Kids can be so cruel. I have no more rhythm, maybe this will bring it back in the privacy of my own home. thanks for the vid nice to see this stuff in action
