In this second video of the three part series, a new technology called XISH is compared other molecular diagnostic technologies including CISH and FISH. XISH is a form of molecular diagnostics that compounds the strenghts of Fluorescent Insitu Hybridization (FISH), Chromogenic Insitu Hybridization (CISH), and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), while eliminating the weaknesses. Essentially, it is an extremely fast, single sided DNA probe technology that hybridizes with messenger RNA (mRNA) for the detection of gene expression.
