im 18, and I (and some of my friends) enjoy listening to artists like glenn miller and louis jordan, but at the same time, we listen to new songs, too.
not all "young folks" are idiots, but yes, a good chunk of us are :-)

I love the original, natural sound of the vinyl noise. Good song. Awesomeness stamp!

Song is great surely, it is sad tho, that the version at Tom & Jerry - Solid Serenade is much better with basses. There is a good upswing tempo version of this by Bing Crosby and Andrews Sisters. It would be a dream if that version was along with Tom & Jerry versions basses and the vinyl noise of your record \o/

@ConfusedSponge I rarely buy records from Ebay. Mine come from local garage/estate sales and Craigslist. Many thousands of these old records are still out there if you do a little searching.

My copy of this 78, while play wear is little and the sound is crisp, looked like it'd been lightly dusted with 30 grain sandpaper. Hiss is minimal and the grooves are Grand Canyon deep, but listening to my copy makes you think someone threw a handful of popcorn in an open griddle. LOL!
Nice copy.

I use an old mono cartridge that only picks up the side to side stylus movement. It sounds like you have stereo cartridge that also picks up the up and down movements of the stylus.
