It is scar tissue. A cleft palette is a total different thing. Go read a biology book please before talking such dribble. IT IS A SIMPLE SCAR FROM AN ACCIDENT. A CLEFT LIP IS VERY OBVIOUS..

It is a scar. That is all. He is not a vain hollywood person, like the rest . He could have it removed surgically. It is just a scar that is all - admire the fact that he is not vain and didn't have plastic surgery like the majority of them. It is a silly little scar that could be easily removed. Look at his good points, those magnificent beautiful almond-shaped green eyes. that is PERFECTION -who gets that naturally!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually what he is is called a microform cleft. It is not a cleft lip that was repaired, rather he developed a cleft in utero that spontaneously healed before birth so he was born with the scar. Very rare, it's considered a miracle of nature.

It is a disfigurement where the lip did not form completely during the development of the embryo -- Scientists seem to not know the caused of this, but only that it is sometimes hereditary. Even with that though, he raised up to be a very talented and humble man, which is all that matters in life.
