@RCK62Here Its not just because of accuracy, but also because of the resulting larger depth of field. You see, in Germany street photography as per definition is in a legal grey zone (personal rights of the subject and stuff). The distortion is one thing that would make me not use a 24mm for street. I think it takes away from the image. (Depends on the image though.) A 35mm or a 50mm are definately the choice here, also because there is a full rage of older high quality prime glass..

@RCK62Here I fully agree! The only problem is that film is slowly dying out. I worked in a photography store, and the range of films available now is evidently slimmer than it was i.e. a year ago. Many of the highest quality films have been suspended from production because of receding sales. I hate it, just because the mass consumer is going digital, analog is just fading, even though its still great! Its already hard to get good film for my old 1958 Rolleiflex 6x6 camera...

@wazzupbeckham You're probably lucky you don't - that guy is an absolute ar$ehole and his photos vastly over-rated ... even if his photos WEREN'T over-rated, wouldn't you rather be a good, kind and gentle person than a famous one (not that the two are necessarily mutually exclusive) ?
don't shoot in people's faces? I wish I have the guts to shoot like bruce gilden
