Badly in need of a good laugh? Can you read 3 paragraphs? It's about guys wearing Che Guevara T-shirts.
Look for THIS line. Quote: "Absolutely surreal," she said, noting that some of the men who got off the helicopter wore T-shirts emblazoned with the iconic image of the Argentine revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara...

[Don't know what a FARC is? Well... ] Until the 1980s the growth of the FARC was slow, restricted mainly to the outer reaches of the country where hardy peasants had carved land from the jungle and where the state has neglected to follow them. But then the FARC discovered drugs - not consuming them, which is prohibited in the rebel ranks, but taxing them.

Now they tax every stage of the drug business, from the chemicals needed to process the hardy coca bush into cocaine and the opium poppy into heroin, right up to charging for the processed drugs to be flown from illegal airstrips they control. And they make at least $300m from the drug trade every year, added to which is their income from kidnapping and extortion, making them probably the richest insurgent group in the world.

  • Mr. Lincoln I wish you were here

The Republics changed alot in a hundred years

I don't think its working like you planned

Mr Lincoln we sure could use a hand

Well at least we're right all we gotta do is tell the truth

He said youre living in the past you romantic fool

I said you got that right i lean toward the older ways

And theres damn few back woods lawyers left today

Now they sue the manufactures of the guns

Aint the law changed alot since 1861

  • Hi, Doc. Are these the words of a poem or song? Keep your chin up, pal. We will get through this. Peace.

  • sorry about the double it mustve been a you tube error. The song is parts from Hank Williams Jr's song Mr. Lincoln. You can listen on youtube its a great song. Sorry to do it really but i am in political depression right now and found some peace listening to that song while drinking a Sam Adams :-)

  • RE: "political depression" I know. Me too.

Here are some words that gave me comfort. David Horowitz was a leftist in his younger years. He was with the SDS. Now he opposes them. He says that the challenge is to teach the young how to cope "in a world that is (and must remain) forever imperfect."

He adds, "The refusal to come to terms with this reality is the heart of the radical impulse and accounts for its destructiveness, and thus for much of the bloody history of our age."

  • nice thanks !! just a question, if you couldve controlled the republican nom. would you have rather ran Ron Paul instead of mccain ? i hope we can both agree Paul would be better than BO ? see you around pal

  • Thanks for sharing your German(?) with us. I love the German people (or Dutch or Norwegian... ) I am an American. I am a doughnut! lol :P

  • Yes! Your assessment is very fair. No one has EVER been successful in proving Karl Marx to be anything more than a confused DREAMER. However, no country practices PURE capitalism either. For example, in the USA we have a mixture of capitalism and "command"(state run) functions. (I hope I was clear. I am very tired tonight : )

  • The radical Arabs are in league with the hard left ...and have been FOR YEARS.

  • Ninanwk, I see what you see. The left has pulled off the biggest coup in history. I'm kinda disoriented right now. But I think we should do what McCain was unable to do: get the facts out to "Middle America" and as soon as possible. The media is in bed with the hard left (and it HAS TO BE because of what the KGB did during the Vietnam years.) Google Yuri Bezmenov, KGB defector and watch interview with G. Edward Griffin. I highly recommend him. Please do it, if you have not heard him yet.
