Help Haiti - Drew Barrymore's message

Drew Barrymore, ambassador for the UN World Food Programme, calling on the public to take action to help Haiti!

And $2.00 of that $5.00 will make it to Haiti. UN administrative costs. Then one of those two dollars will be skimmed when it gets to Haiti. And the guy selling the bottled water at %200 markup takes the rest. Isn't charity in this fucked up world great? And like George Bush said,"Don't send clothes, or food, or water, send cash." Drew makes me so proud to be a fan of hers. I shall certainly be donating - not just because she's made this appeal but because Haiti needs all the assistance it can get and becase the WFP have a track record of getting the aid where its wanted FAST. They make the most of the money and make even the smallest donation go a a long way! Which is just as well in my case. Every little helps.

I am sure that all the hotels/motels in the Dominican are not at capacity. Why not enlist that all children, special needs people and women be relocated to the hotels/motels in the Dominican? Another thought can be to have cruise ships brought in and move people onto them. This would take the people off the streets, provide a warm bed to sleep in, ample food, a place to shower, a bathroom the basic needs and than some. Medical help could also be brought onto the ships.
