Console Command ~
Useful Commands

*New for this video.

getpos x,y,z - to obtain an objects current position.
setpos x,y,z "Value" - to change an objects current position.
Example
getpos x will tell you the current selected objects x position.
setpos z 25 will change the current selected objects z position to the value you input. In this case 25.

getangle x,y,z
setangle x,y,z "value" - (can also be used for angles.)

Disable - Remove selected object from game.

Enable - Places selected object back into game. (Less needed due to my preferred quick save/load style)

markfordelete - Will delete protected objects from game once you enter an other Cell and then return. (Protected items cannot be removed via Disable. Cell refers to game area.)

Player.placeatme "ObjectID" 1
use 1 for most household objects... items like weapon/potions or other NPCS/Enemies can also be spawned in those cases it's safer and alright to spawn more then one.

help "search name" 0
This will bring up a list of anything matching the search name. You could use bed to look for beds. Or character names to look for given NPCs etc. (The 0 refers to the type of search. 0=All. You could also use 1-4 for other types of searches.)

I will quickly note that each object generally has two types of IDs... One that can only be found by using the Help command and that's generally the important ID. The ID that shows up when you click on an object in the Command Console is also important but it is a different ID. They both have there own purpose and use. But for placing objects you need to find the real ID, as I call it?

Example....
help bed 0
-------------------------------------------
Here is one last command that is mentioned in the video but not explained.

setscale "value"
most objects have a default scale of 1. so Setscale 2, will often double the size of the object.

example...
setscale 1.25
to increase objects size by about 25%
It's also nice to know that if you cannot get a weapon or equipment to change size for decoration purposes like my Giants Knife. You can place it in a weapon rack etc. Then make the changes. But when you equip the weapon it will be it's default size, until you drop it again or place back on a rack.

Here is a list of Object IDs.

player.placeatme 000D5501 1 for enchanting table.
player.placeatme 000D54FF 1 for alchemy table.
player.placeatme 000727A1 1 for tanning rack.
player.placeatme 000D932F 1 for workbench.
player.placeatme 0001A2AD 1 for anvil.
player.placeatme 0006E9C2 1 for grindstone.
player.placeatme 0009C6CE 1 for smelting oven.

player.placeatme 000c0305 1 for suspicious Cabinet
player.placeatme 000c0306 1 for false back panel
player.placeatme 000cc526 1 for sliding door

For the Carpet I used as a wall hanging etc...
The code should be b9675. Or it might be b958d, they look similar and I cannot check right now.

More to come... If I find interesting or useful ID's I will update list.

Gamefaqs and or other online sites may contain full object ID lists and other useful information as well.

Special Thanks to Blowseph on Gamefaqs forums for posting a video similar to this and providing helpful information on the forum.

I should also mention that I plan on doing a lot more work in the Manor. I want to add some dressers, chests, lighting, perhaps a couple display cases. Hopefully a larger display case to hold the Giants Knife.

  • Thanks so much for the tutorial! One important question though; are spawned containers made "safe" by being IN an owned home?

  • @patricio4667 To tell you the truth I have no idea how that works. At all? How to make a none safe storage object safe or how to know or tell if it's safe by default or if it's location matters at all? None of my items have reset or deleted yet however I hear there can be a long re-spawn time. Can anyone else help? Even I need to know.

  • This is a message from me Mr.arrmageddon addressed to anyone that could help me with the basics of the Skyrim CK.

I have a few questions and any tips or information would be great.

    1. Is it possible to make changes just within one game/save?

    2. How do I edit the overall main game (If I wanted to make the changes to the Manor the default layout!) So I could make a new game and bingo it's done? Where do I go to start this? Is there anything very important to know? Questions continued...

  • @MrArrmageddon

    3. Is there a quick way to grab the changes I made in game in theses videos I have posted and make them the default without having to create it all in game all over again?

Now I know the solitude manor can be upgraded and it's going to annoying for me to learn how to change the manor and make it so the upgrades don't mess it up? Some of the areas I change are added or altered via the in game paid upgrades. What should I try and do if I were to make my changes default?

  • i cant find the code for the shelves that are in Herjim, do you have any idea about those? and i don't mean book shelves or anything, just shelves that you can place stuff on?

  • @ThraxFanGirlNumber1 The creation kit is out now. I don't know the codes that your looking for personally you could find them if you searched online most likely asking here is a great first step. But I highly suggestion that you and anyone else downloaded the mod kit and slowly learn it. Like I am kind of doing now but I will admit this is going to be a pain in the ass for me to learn.
