  • One extra step that's worth checking (as we've just had this problem) is that if Jumbo Frames are enabled (MTU of 9000) to make sure that the vmkping is run with "vmkping -s 9000 destinationIPaddr". Hope this helps someone else! - We had a problem with the trunk between two physical switches having been misconfigured to an MTU of 1500.
