Dave and I diving south of Pt Lobos at the Needle. 105' max, 50 minute dive at 45 degrees with a visibility of 50 feet.

Was in Monterey in Feb. Visibility was like this on one day and the next it was not. If you're a new diver or If your not used to surge and rough-like surface water it will likely be tough if doing a shore entry- :D

where is the needle exactly?? is this vis typical?

I believe this dive site is in the Carmel waters. Viz of course varies, but it's not uncommon to have this viz there.
